William Walter Daseking

William “Bill” Daseking, 80, passed away on Tuesday, Oct 24, 2023, peacefully in the loving arms of his wife Marie, surrounded by his loving children Jerry and Jennifer, their spouses Pam and Ray, and grandchildren Charlotte, Noah and Ted. Bill was born and raised in Hoboken, NJ, before moving to Toms River in 1968. Bill was a tractor-trailer driver for P.I.E. Freight Co. and ABF Trucking combined for almost 40 years.

After retiring, he worked for Mulberry Street Italian Market in Brick. Bill loved watching his beloved NY Giants football team and dancing with Marie on Saturday nights. He enjoyed large and small family gatherings where sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews would get together. If you had the pleasure of meeting Bill, you quickly tuned into his quick-witted humor and found he was the toughest gentleman you would ever meet. A friend to everyone, Bill will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be on Sunday October 29, 2023 from 2-6pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. A mass will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 10 am at St. Joseph RC Church in Toms River. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The Trevor Project.
