William J. Lewis Jr., 75, formerly of Ortley Beach, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Bill was born in West Orange. He attended Utah State and graduated from Seton Hall University. He was a teacher for Brick Township Public Schools and Owner, Lewis Construction. Bill had been very active with youth soccer serving as the first president of New Jersey Youth Soccer Assoc. and was founder and first president of the Beachwood Soccer Club.He was predeceased by his son, Thomas in 2012. Surviving are his children, Erik and his wife Fatma, William III, Lara May and her husband Leonard, Kris, Kurt and his wife Clara, Daniel and Jonathan; two step-daughters, Aibeth Marrero and Lisi Mahoney and her husband Mark; his brothers, Lawrence, Robert and Bryan and his wife Emily. He is also survived by five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Visiting will be held from 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 until the funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery, Toms River.
