Thinking of you today June 26th.  It has been 8 years since you returned to God. You are missed, cherished, remembered and Loved by many many people.

I can’t believe it has been 7 years. 

I miss you.  I have done what you asked and made sure that you will not be forgotten. But that is not possible, because you touched the heart and soul of so many in your journey. 

I emailed all of your friends and family to think extra of your on this special day when your birthed back to God.

I am Robert Wesley Johnston, Allen's cousin he was 3 years younger than me Allen was very soft spoken, shy and cousin Bob was exactly the opposite so I'm guessing he decided I would be the older brother never had he tagged along with me everywhere  in the summer we slept in a tent in the back yard of 34 Merritt Road that was my home.
Many nights we camped out in the backyard of the Hedley's they had a large army tent at night we would play nicky nicky nine doors that was a game of mischief nocking on doors and running away to hide Allen would not knock on doors I did it for him. He stayed at our house his mother worked and my mother Aunt Eddie day cared him.
He was a good companion, I miss you Allen, I hope where ever you are your playing the naughty games I taught you.



My Brother gave me away at my wedding in 1989. 

Yesterday was the 5th anniversary of my brother’s passing. I sent texts and emails to all of his friends and family.

Dave had many many friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and many types of families.

His wish, was that he never be forgotten. That is not possible. He has touched the hearts, lives and souls of so many in his travels.  When he met someone they became a friend for life. Many of them became his brothers and sisters. 

I will be eternally grateful for all of you who touched my brothers soul.

Dear Allan,

I love you. I miss you. I will think of you forever.  I put some lovely colourful silk flowers at your grave site and a fresh red rose with babies breath. Thank you for being my big brother.

Time passes so quickly, but the memories remain still Dave ! We still miss you even though a year  has come and gone. Just to let you know that you are not forgotten by us or the people you've touched on your journey through Life. It was only last week, one elderly lady asked me about you and when I told her that your 1st death anniversary is coming up, she could not believe it.  It seems that you helped her at the gas station on how to pump gas etc. and she was forever grateful to her ' good friend Dave' for teaching her how to do those things, seeing that her own husband had passed away and she did not know how to fill up her car. This is just one of the testimonials to your good work spent on Earth and believe me , a lot of people still ask of you as if you are here with us still. On learning of the sad news , they often reflect on your character and good deeds , not to mention your special talent of making them feel at ease and welcomed. We still remember you Dave!!

Dearest Allan,

how quickly time seems to go by. Although you are no longer with us on Earth, your beautiful memories live on forever in our hearts. You were a kind soul and will always be remembered for your humble compassion and goodness to all. I am so grateful to have had the privilege of meeting you through your loving sister Brenda. Always in our thoughts and prayers.

I cannot believe it has been 1 year already.  I miss my Brother very much and I think of him often.  The Marker has finally been placed on his Grave-site, I hope to go see it this weekend. Pine Hills Cemetery (Scarborough) Monday June 26th will be the 1st Anniversary of Allan being Birthed Back to "Creator", called home by God.

I encourage all of Allan "Dave's" family and friends to post a note or some pictures.  My brother was "concerned" that he be remembered.

Share a funny story of your encounters with my brother.  We would all love to read about him.  I am wearing the Blue Tim Horton's bracelet today that Allan, Kiara and I all wore the last months of his time here.  I also made his Tigers Eye Bracelet (20 stones) into necklaces for a few "special" people.  And four of us have Tiger Eye bracelets made from his necklace. I am also wearing that today.  Along with a bracelet my brother bought me, when I bought him the Tiger Eye necklace and bracelet.

At home I still have the 3 plants that were in his hospital room. The 2 plants in beautiful ceramic pots from Meena and Family and the Bamboo plant that I bought him in the glass jar with the beach scene made of sand.

I have an ivy from his home with me at work and it is flourishing like never before.

Until we meet again my brother.  You are loved in this life and in the next.

Part 2 

My wife and I were deeply touched by your heartfelt expressions of July 7th, in the Guest Book, addressed to your loving brother Allan. Thank you very much for that. We hope you find comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead. We hope too that we can have the opportunity to meet you again, and have a visit sometime down the road. Till then please accept our sincerest of condolences.

We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Dave's family. We met Dave through Gaitree and what a beautiful and humble soul he was! He will always be remembered and may his soul be at peace.

Though it is sad when a loved one passes, it is also a time to rejoice as the soul is set free from it's earthly vessel. Allan's soul is free now to be with creator, to continue to be that infinite loving, peaceful soul watching over those most dear to him. Though I never met you but I have met your soul. I thank you for the experience and your sister for this never would of happened. My condolences to Brenda and family.
