I am so terribly sorry for your loss of Andrew. I just received notification today of his passing. I worked at Fasken Martineau wiith Andrew but we remained close long after I left. I visited him when he was in treatment and did my best to help him. My son is a member of AA and we both tried. I am quite devastated by your news. His smile would light up the world. It was with great sorrow that I learned recently of Andrew's sudden passing.  We worked together for many years at Faskens and he was always a breath of fresh air.   His ready smile and boyish charm made him a “firm” favourite.  At this time of loss, I hope you will feel some comfort knowing that he was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. I worked with Andrew at Fasken's for 15 years. One of Andrew's strengths was in providing a level of client service to which every individual should aspire. Quite often Andrew could be seen roller blading through the office lobby on his way to certify cheques or deliver a package. This was not his responsibility and if you asked him why he was doing it, he would reply, there is no one else to do it. I recall an incident where a client said he would take his package on his way to the airport. When the hour approached, Andrew realized that if the client didn't leave then and there, he would miss his flight. Andrew went searching for that client, only to find out in fact that the client had already left for the airport. Andrew jumped into the first available cab and headed for the airport. Can you imagine the client's face when Andrew handed him the package prior to boarding the plane?

I just heard about Andrew's passing today.  I worked with Andrew at Faskens.  He was a very friendly, helpful and very nice person.  May he rest in peace and the family remember their time with him.
