

Angelina Gomes was born on March 9th, 1928 in Vila do Conde, Portugal. She came to Canada in 1957 with her husband Jose, and two oldest daughters in search of a better life . Angelina is survived by her children, Luisa (Frank), Lucinda (Gus), Ernest, Joe, and Susie (Sam). She was a grandmother to Sandy (Frank), Brandon, Mitchell (Janet), Jesse and Christian. Angelina adored her grandchildren, and loved them like her own. Days before her passing, Angelina became a great grandmother to Natasha. Angelina is predeceased by her mother, Luisa Maria Gomes and her brother Manuel Reis.
Angelina worked at St. Michael's hospital for many years until retirement. Angelina raised her five children on her own and worked hard to provide for them. She was a nurturing, and loving mother to her children and grandchildren.
Angelina loved sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening and cooking. There was never a moments rest for Angelina, she was always on the go. Angelina continued to be a strong, independent, and hard working woman, up until Alzheimer's began to take over her life. She spent her last couple of years in a nursing home, under the care of her children, but especially Joe.
