I am so thankful for the presence of Aunt Annette in my life. So many wonderful and pivotal memories. It started pretty much a day dot. Annette was my Godmother. I would have been in her arms at my Baptism. I wore her Ball dresses as an emerging dress-up queen, lapped up her Hungarian chicken pepprakosh (no idea how to spell that). She will be dearly missed.

To me she was a strong, determined, proud family woman who provided a safe haven for all who crossed her door step.  Always acknowledging with a hug, a look or a mischievous grin.  She will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kathleen, her brothers, their families and all who were lucky enough to be part of the extended family.

Peter, so sorry for the loss of your Mother.  Peace be with you and your whole family.

We are so sorry to hear of Annette's passing.  She was a wonderful person.  It was always a delight seeing her interact with her grandchildren.  She  played cards like a champ, and delighted in calling out a mistake, with a twinkle in her eye.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the honour of knowing her.  Our deepest condolences to the Bodi & Galea families.

A unforgettable woman who left an impression on every single person she met.  I have countless wonderful memories of her after having spent so much time at 30 Deevale Road as a child...it was like a second home to me.  I will never forget her.  My most sincere condolences to Michael, Kathleen, Joseph and Peter, and all her beautiful grandchildren.  May your memories bring you peace and comfort at this difficult time. xoxo

When Melanie was a baby, Annette used to come visit me once a week to give me support. This meant a lot to me. She was there when we had a medical emergency with Melanie and I will never forget that.  We also joked that the three women who married the three Bodi men were all Aquarius and with birthdays only days apart.  Annette's recent 80th birthday celebration was beautiful and a lovely event organized by Michael, Kathleen, Joe and Peter, and Annette had the good fortune to be surrounded by her family and friends.  Rest in peace Annette. My sincere condolences to her children and grandchildren.

We are all born to Mothers. Having a Mother does not mean you have a Mom though.
Your home, your family were always my second home and sometimes my first. The things I learned from you, because of you are too innumerable to write here. But the most important lessons learned were acceptance, warmth, endless support and belief in my abilities even when I didn't know I had any.  One conversation in particular I remember not grasping at the time. But it stayed with me. And I understand now. Thank you. The "slap" for which I owe you everything because without that lesson in "smartening up" I would not be where or who I am today. But it wasn't only what you said to me, it was also the example you provided. The example of being a woman of strength, of fierce dedication to your family and people you welcomed as family, and a class act in the face of adversity. 
From the bottom of my heart I thank you. I will love you always.

Where to begin. What to say. How many days and nights did I spend in her home? I always felt welcome I don't ever think I felt like I had stayed too long. I even made it onto the cover of the Bodi Cookbook which was a picture of George his grandkids and me. She always made sure there was a place for me. I have such strong memories Old Gold, instant coffee, Blue Ford Van, Phelps, Lake Simcoe, parties, mass, New Years Eve diners and movies. This feels very inadequate but it will have to. She has joined the card game in the sky.
