Antonio Lucifero passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026, between 6:00 a.m. and 7:05 a.m. at the E.W. Bickle Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 77. Born on May 20, 1948, in Isca sullo Ionio, Calabria, Italy, Antonio carried his family, culture, and traditions with love and pride.
Beloved son of the late Vittorio and Filomena “Rosina” Lucifero, Antonio was a respected, caring, and devoted father who will be profoundly missed by his children: Tony and Ana, Christopher and Monika, Filomena and Andrew, Lina and Gianni, Nicholas and Melissa.
He was a cherished and loving Nonno to Owen, Logan, Esme, and Opal, who brought him endless jubilation and honour.
Antonio had a true passion for life. He loved taking long walks in his neighbourhood, dancing—especially tango and salsa—and had a tremendous love for coffee and food. He was a devoted fan of soccer and especially loved watching the World Cup.
Antonio will be remembered for the warmth and love he brought to his family through his delicious cooking and his sense of humour. He had a profound sense of humility and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life most of all.
His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and the memories that will forever be held close to our hearts.
