Dear friends and family,
With deep sadness and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of our beloved Nana.
Our Nana was more than a mother and grandmother; she was the heart and soul of our family, a beacon of love, wisdom, and unfailing support. A Sicilian born on International Women's Day, she taught three generations of women how to work hard, love fiercely, and keep a sense of humour - traits we will pass on to future generations. No matter how many times we gathered as a family over a bowl of her famous pasta sauce, every moment with her was filled with joy, laughter, and love.
Her home was a sanctuary, a place where we felt safe and loved. From the scent of her cooking when you walked through the door to the pink linings on her pillowcases, everything about Nana's home reflected her warmth and thoughtfulness. Our Nana had a magical way of turning the simplest moments into cherished memories, even the quiet nights spent on her floral couch watching jeopardy while she pet her most recent Siamese cat named Pupa. Her door was truly always open, and you never left hungry or without advice.
Nana's love extended far beyond her home. She showered her daughters, Naomi, Barbara, Roseanne, and Susie, and her grandchildren, Amoryn, Charis, Brooke, Denis, Kathleen, Olivia, Bianca, Chloé, William, Harrison, Cooper, and Findley, with love and affection, leaving an indelible mark on each of our hearts. The hours spent cooking in the kitchen, helping in her garden, and around her table taught us patience, perseverance, and the importance of appreciating the small moments, and most of all, family.
Nana had a green thumb and tended to her tomato plants with as much love as she did her family. Her love for gardening added another layer of beauty to her life, and her tomato plants were a symbol of her nurturing spirit and dedication to growth.
As we say goodbye to Nana, we take comfort in knowing that her love will live on in each of us. Her laughter, her kindness, and her wicked sense of humour. Hers is an unwavering presence that will be cherished forever and ever.
Rest in peace, dear Nana. Your memory will continue to inspire and guide us all.
With love and gratitude,
The Entire Family
