Assuntina Bruno

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Assuntina Bruno. She was born in Paterno Calabro, Italy on January 22, 1936 daughter of the late Eugenio and Vincenzina Barbanera and loving wife of the late Alfredo Bruno. Predeceased by her brother Carmine and his wife Mafalda, her sister Ida and her husband Antonio, Survived by her brothers Salvatore, Luigi (Rita), Giuseppe (Cecilia) and Mario (Gianna).

She was an amazing woman, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother she is survived by her loving children Anna (Gino), Vincenzina (Mario) and Michele (Jakkie), cherished grandmother of Robert, Laura, Daniel, Stephanie, Richard, Rachel and Stefano and by her precious great grandchildren Mateo, Anjali, Jack, Logan, Isabella, Auston, Marco and Alessia.

Her absence leaves an aching void in our hearts but her spirit lives on in our cherished memories of her that we hold dear. Her kindness and generosity endeared her to all who knew her, although she is gone she will live in our hearts forever.

A visitation for Assuntina will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K2B5. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Maria Goretti Parish, 717 Kennedy Rd, Toronto, ON M1K 3N8. An entombment will occur Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Mausoleum & Cremation Centre, 4570 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M2N 5L6.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Assuntina's memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation; and Kidney Foundation.
