Ms Betty Ann Kono

Passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Dec. 19, 2014 with family by her side.

Survived by her daughter Lorraine, grandson Tyler, life partner Glen, sister Gwen and nieces Linda and Susan.

Married to John Anthony Webb for 20 years and married, divorced and partnered again with Teruaki (Glen) Kono for over 40 years right up until her passing.

Big thanks to the caring staff at Extendicare Rouge Valley – Highland Creek Section. Your warmth and compassion was truly appreciated. Extra Special thanks to Glen whose undying love and support to Betty was a big comfort to her daughter.

“Never A Dull Moment With Betty” as she was often described by friends lived life to the fullest. Through the many ups and downs of her life Betty’s strength and empathy always came through in the end. Betty loved to play tennis and dance (ballet, tap, flamenco, jazz) . In lieu of flowers a donation to The School of Toronto Dance Theatre program that assists young dancers from the St. Jamestown / Regent Park area may be made in Betty’s honour https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/the-school-of-toronto-dance-theatre/.

There will be a viewing December 23 at Rosar Morrison Funeral Home (467 Sherbourne Ave.) 2-3pm . A Celebration of Betty’s life will follow at the Hair of the Dog Pub – 425 Church St.
