Catriona Jane McConville, a devoted wife and sister, passed away peacefully on April 10,2025, at the age of 59. Her journey began on January 14 1966, in Kingston, ON, where she was born to Brian McConville and Janice McKay.
A Story of Love: Catriona's life was marked by love and dedication. In September 2000, after five years of dating, she married Mario Rumengan, her longtime friend and love. Their union was a testament to a deep connection and devotion, lasting until her death.
Her Characteristics: Catriona was a private person who had a kind heart and a generous spirit. She loved gardening, being in the water and her 2 cats as well as reading and playing solitaire.
A Servant’s Heart: Her servant heart found its purpose at Ontario Public Service in Toronto, where she worked for many years.
Family and Legacy: She is survived by her beloved mother Janice McConville, husband Mario Rumengan, brother and his wife, John and Ellie McConville; sister Fiona McConville; brother in-law Leonard Rumengan, Dino Rumengan and wife Febry Rumengan, sister-in-law Cynthia Rumengan and husband Boebie Regar and Meilissa Rumengan and husband Donald Martin; Favorite Aunt and Uncle Pat and Mike Jordan, and her 9 nephews and nieces both in Canada and Indonesia. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
Funeral Service: A private funeral service will be held in June for family and close friends of Catriona and Mario. Catriona Jane McConville left a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion. Her life was a living example of the values she cherished and the promises she upheld. She touched many lives deeply, and her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.
