Feeling nostalgic today I started googling for old friends.  I'm so sorry to hear of Darlene's passing.  Many happy memories of our time in Toronto.

I will be seeing you soon my friend, arriving TO tomorrow. Can't wait to catch up with your news. I have missed you both.

It is so nice to see others still thinking of Darlene to the point they visit here. It reminds me of Saturday visits where who knows who will drop in. I think of the people that I would not have known, had it not been for her.

Karen, I think of Darlene all the time but I also think of you and all of the "firsts" that you've had to experience without your greatest love.  I hope that you've taken comfort in your children, grandchildren, family and friends during those times!

I have thought of you so often over the years and was just thinking that I needed to contact you and see how everything is going. I was beyond shocked to hear of Darlene's passing. She was one of the most honest and humanistic people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She was a joy and a delight as a friend and I am so sorry for her family. My life was blessed to have called her my friend. The world has lost one of its true heroes.

You have always been the Best most Honest person I have ever known and no one could ever come close to you.  There are no words for how very much you were loved and will be missed.  Rest now.

Many years have passed but I thought of you often.  My deepest condolences to the ones you loved.

So sorry to hear of Darlene's death. I knew her for many years at MTCU. She was always a delight.

Life's a strange and wonderful thing, isn't it? Just think about how sometimes we women are REALLY FREAKING STRONG. Darlene always reminded me of what it is to live with a heart full of love, of the power of women and the beauty of the different kinds of strength we have without even having to put our minds to it. Karen, your devotion, patience, passion and depth bring profound love and joy, and your wise words keep us all standing tall, even in our darkest moments. Peace and love.

Let's reflect on the things Darlene taught us, stuff that you may choose to do now that she is gone in body, not in spirit. Let's share them with each other.

Darlene, brave and wonderful woman, you have raised the bar for all of us. I will never forget you ! Thank God for Darlene, she has made such a difference in my life. She will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched.

When we were little, she followed me around like a shadow. Now it feels like I'm walking in her shadow, covering me with a warm comforting cloak. She will be forever loved and never forgotten. It's my turn now to be the follower.

Karen and family, we send our sincere condolences for your loss.  We know that Darlene will be greatly missed.  You are all remembered in our prayers.

Darlene was a wonderful and great colleague who understood the meaning of the word "team." She was always more focused on the good of the company and the department than on her own benefit. She was someone always you could depend on and will never be forgotten for her kind, gentle and helpful ways.

My sincere condolences to her loved ones. Darlene was a remarkable person and am sure that everyone she worked with at MGS is better for having known her. For those of us that had the privilege of calling her "friend" outside of work, we were humbled by her kindness and compassion to everyone around her. 

She will be greatly missed, and everyone here is saddened by her death. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with her  family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Darlene loved food and potlucks with friends and coworkers, and we'd like to eat together after her body is laid to rest. If you would like to, bring a favourite dish to share as Darlene would love it. And yes, we're having pinwheel sandwiches from the Pickle Barrel! 
 Love to you all. You have been amazing throughout this journey/ordeal. Thank-you for your love, prayers, cards, food, encouragement, words of wisdom, and your friendship. It meant a lot to Darlene and it means a lot to me. Thank-you all.

Darlene was a valued member of our team and will be missed dearly. Her 'no nonsense' approach and extremely honest and kind heart is a standing testament to her strong work ethics. When last we met, she stood  defiant in the face of her challenge and ready to face the unknown. She will be remembered for her strength of character.

Karen and family, I'm so sorry for your loss.  Darlene was the most amazing woman I have ever met and as you will truly miss her, I know I will also miss her friendship, wonderful generosity and great sense of humour.  My sincere condolences.
