Don will be sadly missed.  He was our neighbour in Manilla for many years.  My girls were always wanting to show Don and Pat everything they did.

Paul and I were very saddened to hear about Don’s passing. He was the most fun-loving and wonderful person ever. We have so many wonderful memories of our times together that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Each and every time we got together, we laughed until we cried!!! What wonderful memories we all had of Don. Birthday memories, anniversaries, cottage memories, or just going to each other’s houses, we will always remember them so fondly.

Dearest Pat,

Was saddened to learn of Don's passing, but was warmed by the joyful memory of visiting with you and Don just last November.

I will always remember Don as a kind, caring individual, never without a huge (and often mischievous) smile on his face at family gatherings!

My heart goes out to you, Dale, John and Jody on your loss - may the memories of the good times Don brought to so many lives always be with you.

So sorry to hear of Don’s passing.  Our condolences to Pat and her family.  Don was a special person inside and out.  He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

I’m so sorry for the loss of Don. Over the few days I cared for him in the ICU, I could tell that he truly did have a heart of gold and he loved his family very much. He had a wonderful sense of humour. It was a pleasure being involved in caring for him over Christmas.

I was saddened to hear of Don's passing. I enjoyed talking and joking around with Don when we were in the volunteer lounge.  I still remember that twinkle in his eyes every time he laughed and his cute giggle.  
Pat and family my heart goes out to you during this time of grief.  May you find comfort in your memories with Don.


Don and Pat were volunteer drivers with Durham CAS for 20 years.  They both had a significant impact on the lives of many children in our community.  We always loved it when Don came into the office - always bursting with energy and a story to share.  He was a wonderful man with a beautiful spirit and the kindest heart.

Many fun times, many great laughs that will always be treasured.

It’s hard to believe you are gone, Our hearts are broken.The memories I remember or have been told to me by Uncle Don are..I remember when uncle Don had his scary moustache and I use to bury my head into my moms shoulder when he use to kiss me hello or goodbye.I don’t remember this memory but he use to tell me that I was so scared of him because he yelled at Dale or John for being Bad,I happened to be in front of one of them and I thought he was mad /yelling at me…I become so scared of him again.As I got older he use to say ,I’m not yelling at you.We would laugh about it all the time as I got older. Derick the Girls and I will miss our lunches/Dinners with you and Aunt Pat when we visit Wilmot Creek to see my dad.Whenever i tell them We are going to see Grandpa they always ask if we are seeing their Aunt Pat  and uncle Don. Our girls always want to see their Great Aunt Pat and Uncle  Don and of course prince..Heaven has another Angel,.We will love you forever and will miss you always:Love Donna ,Derick, Isabelle  and Kirsten

I remember being little and going to Uncle Don and Aunt Pats house to enjoy their swimming pool while watching Chip run around ready to play :)

Don was an amazing man and we feel privileged and blessed to have joined in your family with him.
