With broken hearts and profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of the matriarch of our family Elisa Scarpa. Surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully left this world on November 4, 2025, at the age of 76, reuniting with her loving parents Diego and Teresina, siblings Giovanni, Lucia and Roberto and many family and friends who passed before her.
Born in Salento, Salerno, Italy, Elisa was the eldest of seven children and carried that role with grace, strength, and a deep sense of responsibility. From a young age, she was a pillar of support and love to her family, qualities that continued to define her throughout her life.
A devoted and loving wife to Luigi for 56 years, cherished mother to Alfonso (Carmen) and Nella (Luciano), and adoring Nonna to Lauren, Giulia, and Ariana. Elisa’s greatest joy was her family.
Her home was always filled with people, warmth, laughter, the comforting aroma of her incredible cooking and the numerous sewing and homemaking projects she enjoyed as a talented seamstress. She had an extraordinary gift for bringing people together and hosting countless gatherings at her home over the years where no one ever left without enjoying her cooking and leftovers.
Her large annual Santa Barbara celebrations and many wood oven pizza parties showcased her generosity of spirit and her belief in making every moment count. A woman of unwavering belief, she drew strength from her devotion to God and her commitment to serving others.
Elisa will be forever loved and deeply missed by her husband Luigi, her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family and many friends.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and selflessness that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
