

Emily was born January 4th, 1930 to Violet Elizabeth Welch and William Donohue. Emily came from a family of 10, 6 sisters and 3 brothers. She was raised in a very happy home environment. She always said they didn’t grow up with much but knew how to have fun and be thankful for their blessings.
Emily is survived by her children Barry (Connie) and Brenda (Sergio). Her Grandchildren, Ayesha (Cole), Vanessa (Mitch), Madison (Julian) and Jasmine (Jake). Her Great Grandchildren, Lincoln, William and Maxine.
Emily was very active in the church community, she was the Soloist, Sunday School Teacher and President of the Young People’s Union of Queen Street United Church. Emily loved Reading, Knitting, Card Games, Puzzling and Murder Mysteries. Let’s not forget her passion for her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. Emily always reminisced about being carried by King George VI while he inspected the troops in 1939 and presented the Queen with Flowers. Emily will be dearly missed by her Nieces, Nephews and their families. She will be forever remembered and loved.
Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin St) on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 9:30am-11am.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11am in the Jerrett Funeral Home Chapel.
The Interment Service will follow at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W.
