Beloved son of late George Reginald and Sarah Elizabeth Holt.

Loving brother to predeceased Frank Holt (Gloria), predeceased sisters

Born July 16th, 1926 in Toronto, Eric had a very long career and retired from

The Canadian Red Cross in Toronto in 1990. He retired in London, Ontario, where he spent 25 happy years of his life. He was involved in the arts. Eric enjoyed and belonged to local painting groups and was a proud and longstanding member of Glasfax Canada, dedicated to the study and collection of glass manufactured and used in Canada prior to Confederation. He adored gardening, and was a best friend to various dogs through his life.

Eric moved back to Toronto where he spent his last years residing in comfort and care in private retirement homes which attended his needs as time went by.

Eric will be missed by friends and family who will always cherish the good times, the laughter, optimism, and upbeat personality which defined him. He was a true gentleman who touched many souls. Eric was always willing to listen, to share a laugh, to give advice, and to make friends of all ages, no matter the background and gender.

A visitation for Eric will be held Saturday March 9th, 2024 from 12:00 PM to

1:00 PM at the Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home, (2570 Danforth

Avenue, Toronto.) With a Memorial Service at 1:00 PM in the funeral home’s chapel. Celebration of Life to follow from 2:00PM to 3:00 PM.
