Ernest Alexander Skinner

He was born in Antigonish Nova Scotia and was the son of the late Ida and Alfred Skinner. Ernie worked as a truck driver throughout his lifetime until retirement and was a member of the Teamsters 938. He was a dedicated father and was close to all his family especially his baby sister, Pearl. He truly loved receiving phone calls from his family and to reminisce of days gone by. His favourite pass time was going to a horse race at Greenwood Racetrack with Jean, his long-time partner and best friend of many years.

He is survived by his partner Jean Mostad, his sons Martin ( Carolyn), Ernie Jr .and their mother Greta, three grandchildren, sisters Rachel Troup, Toronto Ontario and Pearl Skinner, Antigonish Nova Scotia, sister- in- law, Rita Ash, Antigonish Nova Scotia, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ernie was predeceased by his brother Bill Ash, Joe (Phyllis), Tom (Pat ), sisters Hattie and Georgina.

A visitation for Ernest will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4C1L3, followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
