Evelyn Murao Mendoza

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce that in the early morning of November 11, 2025 - our dearest Evelyn Mendoza passed away peacefully at the age of 60. Evelyn will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Dionisio “Joe” Mendoza and their cherished daughter Jovelyn. Born to the late Alfredo and Feliza Murao, Evelyn was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother and friend. She is survived by her siblings, Jose, Corazon and Edna, and is predeceased by her siblings Renato, Herminio, Mauricio, Angel, and Marilou. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Evelyn will be remembered for her warmth, her lively spirit and her love for dancing - a joy that brought energy and laughter to all who knew her. Whether she was sharing her jokes or preparing a meal for family and friends, Evelyn brought comfort and happiness to those around her. She cherished time spent with her family and friends, and her kindness and light-hearted nature left a lasting impression on everyone whose lives she touched. She loved unconditionally and was a fierce protector of those she loved. Her absence leaves an aching void in our hearts, but her spirit lives on in the cherished memories we hold dear.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Evelyn is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before. Her love and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

To know her was to love her.

Visitation services will be held at Jerrett Funeral Homes, located at 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON, M1K2B5, on November 20, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on November 21, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at Saint Maria Goretti Parish, 717 Kennedy Rd, Toronto, ON, M1K 3N8, on November 22, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
