Frank coped quietly and courageously with the challenge of living with cancer for the past 15 years and died peacefully in his home with his family by his side.
He leaves behind his heartbroken wife and life partner of 47 years, Roberta Mae (“Bobbie”) and devoted, loving children Francine (Marco) and David (Angela).
Frank was born in Arneiro in the Parish of Alte, in the Algarve, Portugal on October 9, 1950 to his proud parents, both now predeceased, José Guerreiro António and Emilia Cabrita Guerreiro.
Frank immigrated to Toronto in 1966 with his parents and began building his life and eventually, businesses here. He had an incredible work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit and was driven by making his own way and providing for his family.
Frank's children lived near him until his passing and proudly carry on the tradition of family and loyalty that he imparted upon them. Frank accomplished much in his life, owned and operated a successful landscaping and contracting business in Toronto, a quaint hotel in the town of Alte, Portugal and moved far beyond his humble beginnings through hard work and perseverance.
First and foremost, Frank was a family man and always considered his biggest and proudest accomplishments keeping his children close and becoming a grandfather (“Vovo”) to Mia, Vivian and Gianni Forte and Allison Antonio.
Frank truly loved being around his grandchildren and always made time for them. Whether he was cheering them on at soccer, watching them play in the backyard or attending every birthday and special event, Frank was keen to be a part of his grandchildren's busy lives. He has left them with wonderful memories they will cherish forever.
Frank was an easy person to like and had many friends. All of them would tell you that he was generous and charming, but also a man they respected.
He will be forever remembered, loved, and cherished by all of his family and friends.
