Frank passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 peacefully in his sleep. Frank will be deeply missed by his family: Frank Jr.(Ruby); Ralph (Liliana); Ida Joyce; Joey (Susan), and his sister Eva and brother George. Frank was a very devoted and caring husband; father, brother, uncle, grandfather/Shoomis, and great grandfather. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Katie (nee Wasayakeesic); daughter Noreen; Sisters Mary, Clara, Sara, Helen and brothers Solomon, and Henry.
Frank was born on January 11, 1930 and raised in his Ojibway community of Mishkeegogamang First Nation, Ontario. At 33, Frank married Ethel and relocated to Red Lake, Ontario. As well as being a father, Frank took on various employment opportunities ranging from driller, carpenter with the local Goldcorp mining company.
In his free time, Frank enjoyed listening to his classic Country songs on the radio or on his vinyl record collection, much to his family’s amusement. In 2000, Frank and Ethel relocated to Toronto to be closer to their children and grandchildren. As a friend, Frank was very gentle natured and humorous for those who were close to him. Like his wife, Frank was devoted in his fervent faith, and he took life as a blessing and gave thanks to each day he was granted.
