Geoffrey came to Canada in 1967, earned his B.A. in English and French, M.A. in Drama — all part-time by the year 2000. He worked as a gasfitter in England, continuing in Canada for 29 years. He had two children with Florence: Jacqueline and Joseph, who in turn had Ava, Elliott, Avery and Ellis and Devi, whom he loved dearly. Geoff took early retirement and joined ACT II Studio, where he acted and directed, chiefly Samuel Beckett performances. Geoff travelled coast-to-coast, camping with his children and two cockapoos (Jimmie and Percy). In his later years, Geoff enjoyed spending time with Peggy and her Algonquin Park cottage — a heavenly spot. Geoff thanks all his many family members and friends for their love over the years. But true to Beckett, “the body will crumble...”
In lieu of flowers, Geoff requests donations to MSF, Act I and Wellspring. Service and reception will be held at the Church of St. Peter and St. Simon on Thursday, November 6, 11 a.m.
