I didn't expect for this to have left me so speechless,
It was so sudden so unexpected,
If only I could have connected the dots and realized,
The what if's and the should ofs,
Just wanting to hear one more word, One more song,
I keep going back to the little things
Like hockey nights,
Banana bread and date squares,
Decorating the tree on Christmas,
So many things that I'd like to experience again,
But it was your time even though we were not ready,
And this weight we carry now definitely feels heavy,
But I know you would want us to go on,
Even though that feel impossible right now,
We will never forget you will always be in our thoughts
