Giovanni was born on December 31, 1934, in Lovari, San Martino di Lupari, Veneto, Italy. With courage and determination, he immigrated to Canada in 1955, married his beloved Annida in 1958 and built a new life filled with hard work and devotion to family.
Beloved husband for almost 68 years to Annida and loving father to Anna (Mike), Sil (Debbie), and Loriana (Ferdi). Dear Nonno to Matthew (Maria), Rebecca (Drew), Jacob (Katelyn), Bailey (Colin), Elizabeth (Taylor), Amanda (Everett) and Mark. Dear Bisnonno to Ainslie, Logan, Gabriel, Juliana and Bennett. He will be missed and held dearly in the hearts of his family, relatives in both Canada and Italy, and many friends.
Visitation will take place at Delmoro Funeral Home (61 Beverly Hills Drive, Toronto), on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church (2100 Jane St, Toronto), on Tuesday January 27, 2026, at 10 a.m.
Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (Albion Road at Hwy. 27).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Giovanni can be made to Hospice Vaughan.
