It is hard to believe it has been a year since I lost my dear friend Holly.  Her wisdom, love, tenacity and encouragement continue to guide me through my life journey. Gone too soon, but left an amazing legacy for those of us that were blessed to call her a friend!

Holly loved to dance & motivated others to heal with reiki, dance, yoga, she was a lot of fun!  Holly wholeheartedly organized several classes I’m sooo grateful to have her in my life, very loving, honest, truthful lol & very encouraging.  
We would have profound conversations during yoga I will always cherish, we always learn something & laugh. She was very kind and gracious to the boys & I.

Holly, my funny, brilliant, kind, giving friend. I don't how this could happen to you and your family. I am so sad. My best memories of you are funny ones, with your crazy phrases. To share a few: when my stories went on too long you would say "Ingrid- land the plane", when you wanted me to come over to chat "Ingrid- come on over and drink some pink sh%$ with me" ( code for rose wine- which was her fav). Thursday nights at the Mayfair, which we called the Thursday Supper Club. Working out, then dinner, wine and chat sessions about our teenage girls with their angst. I miss you so much. Joe, Alex, Nicole, Reid- my heart goes out to you. Ingrid xox

Holly helped with the dinner rush and also coordinated with her neighbour's making  some of the  meals.  During COVID we had to cancel our regular program but she  and Joe still brought dessert for the new lunch program up until March. She was always so kind and giving. 
To Joe and his family I am so sorry for your loss. It was such a pleasure getting to know Holly.  I will really miss her. 

I am very sad today to find out of Holly's passing.  I knew her through her work.  I have known Holly for many years and I can say that the business community ( and the world)  has lost a very good person, an excellent, tough, dedicated professional with a high degree of  integrity and intelligence. From my perspective she had a great compassion for what she did.  Her accomplishments speak for themselves. We cannot afford to lose people like this.  

I am grateful for our family's friendship with Holly as energy, kindness, and love radiated through her.  

One of my favourite memories was at the cottage. As kids, we spent what felt like endless time on the water or by the fire. 
I remember wrestling on the water trampoline, laughing, and chanting “chubby chasers never lose!” with Alex, Nicole, and Reid. We wore life jackets as diapers and pushed each other into the water for hours on end. In hindsight, we must have looked ridiculous to our parents who watched from afar but that’s what made this memory so special - hearing our laughter put a smile on her face. 

Holly, you will be missed and our memories cherished.

My dear, sweet Holly, you were a gift that came into my life when I needed a friend like you.  Thank you. Thank you for the early morning walks, when we first met, chatting about this and that and what mattered to us most, our family. Thank you for your generous, beautiful, and wise soul, your courageous, fun-loving spirit that you shared and that brought so much to our lives, be it a silent walk in nature or a speedy boat ride to a favourite place, a delicious meal whipped up in no time or a gathering of friends in the snap of a finger, a soothing  Reikki session or a night at the Balmy dancing up a storm! Or something as simple and, yet, thoughtful as playing your friend's favourite song when we came to visit. I have one for you, my friend, it's called Spring Waltz. I will forever be in awe of how, amidst your loving and devoted attention to your family and your many responsibilities and life projects, you were still able to make time and be fully present for your many, many friends.  You made it seem so effortless and, yet, how much effort you truly put in, we all know.  May the fullness and brilliance with which you lived your life continue to shine through us all and provide comfort as we navigate life without you. 

My very deepest condolences to Joe, Alex, Nicole, Reid, and the whole family.  You were all so loved.

We are saddened to hear of your loss. 
Holly was a generous and kind spirit who was always welcoming and easygoing.

After only meeting Holly a few times, I asked her if she knew of any apartment subletters for my daughter.  She offered to clean out her basement and let her live there if needed.  Who does that? ... Holly.  Such a kind soul!  The world will miss her.

The memories I had growing up with you Holly will last forever.  The fun and giggles we had and your organization planning my wedding 31 years ago will also stay with me forever.  Best maid of honour ever!!  You are a true angel and will be missed my friend. I feel blessed to have a friendship like the one I had Holly. And, through the 30+ years, we have laughed, learned, and grown together. Holly has always been there for me - generous and caring, courageous and non-judgmental, loving and open-minded; the qualities of a beautiful friend that you can always count on and come to.   I will love her forever and keep the wonderful memories I hold of her with me.  

To Joe, Alex, Nicole, Reid, Ted, Saige, and Helen and all of your family, our sincere condolences.  Holly loved all of you so much.

My beautiful sister-in-law Holly.  My heart is broken with your absence.  I will forever cherish our time together.  The books you shared with me, the thoughtful little gifts you would surprise me with, the way you answered my calls with, "Hello Sister", your "come to cottage" texts.  I loved our "power girl connection".  You would pop into my mind and I knew I would hear from you very soon.  "Hello Mother" when a monarch flew past us.  Famous turkey dinners, rice pilaf and waffles.  You had the fearlessness of a warrior, unrelenting strength, positivity, hope and belief that anything was possible.  Your generosity with your time, spirituality, support and love of family was remarkable.  "Always loved, never judged."  I will always love and miss you.  You remain forever in our hearts.  You are a true angel.  Butterflies are free my dearest Holly.  Rest in peace.  

We are heartbroken at the loss of our beautiful, intelligent, compassionate, determined, spontaneous and generous friend, Holly. Always seeking the next social opportunity, I will so miss being “Hollied” as Kent and I would affectionately joke when Holly would call with an ambitious social agenda mere hours before intending to pull it off. Yet she always pulled it off.  I will miss her energy and her way of being. I will miss her friendship deeply and always. Rest well my dear, sweet friend.
