Lala fue la orgullosa madre de Carlos, Martha y Susana;

abuela de Gabriel y Mariela; Pablo, Natalia y Andrea; y Gustavo, y

bisabuela de Nicholas, Lucas y Joshua; Camila y Belén; Sofia y Rocío; Kassandra; y Gaspard.

El amor por su familia siempre fue muy importante para Lala y compartió ese sentimiento más allá de su núcleo familiar, haciendo que muchos la quisieran como a una abuela.

Lala tenía una energía contagiosa y tocó a muchas personas en su larga vida.

Lala será recordada por su chispa, sus cuentos extravagantes, su sonrisa pícara y sobre todo su inmensa generosidad.

Se pueden hacer donaciones en su nombre a la fundación del Humber River Hospital, la cual ella ha apoyado en varias ocasiones.

Irma Leda SILVA GALEANO, “Lala”, was born on August 21, 1926 in Rocha, Uruguay and passed away on January 28, 2021 in Toronto, Canada.

Lala was a proud mother of Carlos, Martha and Susana;

grandmother to Gabriel and Mariela; Pablo, Natalia and Andrea; and Gustavo; and

great grandmother to Nicholas, Lucas and Joshua; Camila and Belen; Sofia and Rocio; Kassandra; and Gaspard.

Family was always very important to Lala, and she extended this sentiment beyond her own kin to many who saw her as a grandma themselves.

Lala was a force of nature who touched many people in her long and fulfilling life.

Lala will be remembered for her spark, her grand tales, her mischievous smile and above all her immense generosity.

Donations in her name can be made to the Humber River Hospital Foundation, which she has supported on many occasions.
