Jeanne "Rea" Marie McGarry

May 20th, 1933 - July 6th, 2013

Rea will be missed by her beloved best friend Maurice O’Connor and her sister Margaret Fraser (John). Much loved aunt of John Paul (deceased), James, Jordan and Seana Nicole. Professor Emerita from Ryerson University in early childhood education, graduate of University of Toronto and Dr. Blatz Institute of Child Study. Rea leaves a legacy of caring about the education and welfare of children and parents. In spite of chronic health problems all her life, Rea lived joyfully to the fullest always rooting for her Blue Jays, enjoying theatre, arts and her wonderful Alpha Phi sisters. Friends may call at the TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Tuesday July 9th, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00pm & 6:00 – 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 10th, 2013 at 11 o’clock at ST. MARGARET OF SCOTLAND CATHOLIC CHURCH (Avenue Rd. South of Wilson).
