Jennifer Lolita Gobin

Jennifer Gobin, mother to Natasha and Simone, passed away on September 26th at 8:00 a.m. after a long but brave battle with cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.

Born on October 10th in Georgetown, Guyana, Jennifer immigrated to Canada at the age of 14 with her siblings. A big-time troublemaker but incredibly strong, she helped raise her siblings like a second mother.

Overcoming many hardships in her life, Jennifer became a hero to her two daughters, raising them all on her own. She became known for her independence and resilience.

Establishing a successful career in the insurance industry, "JGO" became a guiding figure to her colleagues and friends at work. She also enjoyed life’s simple pleasures - her beer, weed, backyard, and her fur baby, Lola, who followed her around the house like a shadow.

Jennifer will be dearly missed by all who crossed her path. She is survived by her eldest daughter, Natasha, her youngest daughter, Simone, and her beloved pet, Lola.

A ceremony will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7th. Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

Her daughters ask that all guests wear an accent of red as that was her favourite colour.
