Joan Ann Evans, 79, of Toronto, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Toronto East General Hospital.
She was born February 13, 1934, at Toronto East General Hospital, the daughter of Esther and Bertrum Smith.
She was a mother and grandmother, an aunt, a sister, and a friend.
She joins her son Gordon, and leaves behind her sons Glenn and Arthur,
grandchildren Christopher, Steven, Dakota, Taylor, Gordon, and Colin, and sister Verna.
These next few words are the best way to describe our feelings.
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me".
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, loving hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.
