Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in her 81st year. Devoted wife of the late Don for over 50 years. Cherished mother of Paulette (Wayne), Leonard, Philip (Shellina) and the late Catherine. Proud grandma of 9, great-grandma of 5 and great-great-grandma of 1. Dear sister of Bill, the late Tom, George and Donald. Joan will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her family and friends. Joan was a life-long soldier of the Salvation Army and guiding with Girl Guides of Canada and Boy Scouts of Canada for over 50 years. Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at The Salvation Army East Toronto Corps., 107 Cedarvale Ave., Toronto on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10 am. Interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
