Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 15, 2017 at St. Jospeh's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Jo-Anne. Amazing dad of Robena (Dan) and Richard. Wonderful Grandpa of Diego, Malcolm, Hazel and Gabriel. Amazing brother of Betty (Kurt) Farrenkopf. Joe owned and operated "Boyd Cleaners" at Dovercourt and Bloor for 64 years. He loved his work but he didn't like the hours! Joe's family wants to thank all of the staff at the St. Joseph's ICU for their care and compassion during his short time there. A Visitation will take place at THE JERRETT FUNERAL HOME (1141 St. Clair Ave. W., one block east of Dufferin St.) on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be kindly made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
