
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Josephine, on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the age of 64. Josephine will be deeply missed by her loving husband Norman Clode, and his daughters Janet Sawyer, Laura Gibson, Cindy Tierney, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Cherished cousin of Ingrid and Phillip Grosvenor and their sons, Gregory and Matthew; Robert and Heather Guezen and their children Krista, Nic, and Angela; and Ben Korter in Holland. Beloved friends of Ann Couto and her family, Trixie and Ed Hoyer, and Connie Mezofanyi; Rita Nicholson, and Jan and Stan Drummond. Sister-in-law, Roberto Perin and his sons Paulo, Dominic and Alexi. Predeceased by her parents Jacobus and Maria Kaspers; and her sister Yvonne Perin, nee Kaspers. Josee was born in Holland on December 23, 1952 and moved to Montreal, Quebec as a young child. After graduating from high school, she worked at Air Canada. There she met Norman Clode and they were married on November 27, 1982. Then she retired from Air Canada with 15 years of service and attended Concordia University. Once she obtained her Bachelor of Education degree, she and Norman moved to Scarborough, Ontario. Josee taught English as a second language and later specialised in computer science. She gained a reputation as one of the best teachers in her field. Josee retired last year and enjoyed playing the piano and guitar, reading and colouring. Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends. A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 7- 9 p.m. at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough. A graveside service will take place on Friday, April 7, 2017, at 12 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 2700 Kingston Road, Scarborough. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Josee to a charity of choice.
