After a long battle with dementia, Bill passed peacefully with family and caregivers at his side. Born in Sarnia, Ontario, he is survived by brother Joe and sisters Hedda (Lucas) and Margaret (Harkins). He met wife Lois (Welsman) (predeceased 2006) while an RCMP officer in Brandon, Manitoba. Bill was a loving father to Patricia (Carla and Ethan) and Darcy. Bill served in the Vancouver RCMP with a passion for making his community safer for 25 years. On retirement, the family moved to Windsor, Ontario, where Bill opened a photography shop. His children extend a special thanks to the staff on 1 West, north building, who provided loving care for Bill at Kensington Gardens over the years. A chapel service, with reception to follow, celebrating Bill’s life will be held at Kensington Gardens, 45 Brunswick Ave., Toronto on July 31st at 2:30 pm.
A Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, August 1st in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, 5005 Howard Ave., Windsor, Ontario at 1:30 P.M.
