

Junia Fay Townsend passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on Thursday December 27th, 2018 in her 71st year of life and was preceded by her third child Millan. Junia was the first of ten children born to Eunice McKenzie and Stephen Cecil McKenzie on January 20, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, Jamaica.
Junia was a faithful and active member of the Scarborough Seventh Day Adventist Church, who enjoyed gardening, sewing and entertaining. She had a heart of gold; she was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need without question; touching countless lives. Her spirit of selflessness and generosity will be missed by many.
Left to honour and cherish her memory are: her sons Geoffrey (Marlon) Miller, Earl (Bobby) Miller, and Andrew Michél (Tommy) Thomas; grandchildren Tianna, Meredith, and Melinda Miller; siblings Shelia McKenzie-Barnwell, Jacqueline Walsh, Sonia Anderson, Maxine Stamp, Zena McKenzie, Michael McKenzie, Daliah McKenzie-Heron, Paul McKenzie; her best friend Eslin Jefferson, the wonderful Bill Godson and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday 10th January 2019 from 10:00am -11:00am at Scarborough Seventh-day Adventist Church at 4350 Lawrence Ave E. The funeral service will be between 11:00am -12:30pm, with interment to follow at Duffin Meadows Cemetery 2505 Brock Road North, R.R. #1, Pickering, section 10# Lot 1123.
Following the interment at Duffin Meadows Cemetery, a repass will be held at Scarborough Seventh-day Adventist Church. The family would like to thank the wonderful hospital staff for their care and compassion, dear friends and family for all of your support, love and prayers throughout this difficult time.
