So sorry for your loss.  Mr. MacLennan was an amazing French teacher who was passionate, engaging and very empathic for those of us struggling to pronounce words correctly.  He taught us that it was okay to fumble, laugh about it and learn how to do it better next time.  I was lucky to have him as my teacher.

Condolences to the family.  He was a great Art teacher.  I totally enjoyed his classes.  We had the opportunity to explore the arts that we would have otherwise overlooked.  Thank you for teaching us.

Mr. MacLennan was my Grade 9 Art teacher. I remember him as a towering figure, very well-dressed in v-neck sweaters with ascots. He actually reminded me of Mr. Bruce Cook, who was the beloved Librarian and teacher at Parkdale Public School. 
Mr. MacLennan was always kind and smiling, never raising his voice in class, but occasionally using an interjection and forefinger over his mouth to hush us if we were being raucous.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Our family got to know Ken especially through our sharing of celebratory occasions.  For many years, Mary Lou and the kids and myself would be invited, with others, to the house of Mary Jane Kelley, for food and drink following the Toronto Santa Claus Parade.  And Ken would be there too.  That’s where we first got to know him. Also, for many years, our family hosted an annual St. Patrick’s Day Party – a time to get together and enjoy the company of good friends, and to eat a good meal, and of course, to sing Irish songs. Ken would always be there, with mutual friends Sharon, and Bernie, and Tom. We knew Ken as a good friend, a person engaged with life and with the people around him, a person of wit and intelligence and good humour.  He was like a member of our family. We loved him and he loved us.  We give thanks for his life and his presence among us.  We will miss him greatly.

Wonderful memories of so many years of Stratford picnics with Ken, Sharon and Michael.  RIP

It is with great sadness that I bid farewell to Ken. Having met him with Glenn Gebhardt and seeing the bond between them, I was so happy. Both were pillars in the recovery world and both shared the benefits they built with each other with all who came in contact with them. In particular Ken’s brilliant smile and joyous outlook have long been beacons of joy to the anxious new member. His joy was infectious. We will miss him- a quiet giant!

I still vividly remember the first time you joined us for our New Year's Eve celebration after entering the program. Later, when you brought Father Doug along, it became clear how special your connection was—Doug was definitely there to meet you. May you rest in peace.

Ken was a such wonderful person, I feel fortunate to have been his friend.

Ken was one of our Dad's first cousins and was cherished by both our Mom and Dad. We always enjoyed any visit we had with him. He was a kind, well spoken true gentleman and he will be missed.
