Laura was educated at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila and taught in Davao City in the Southern Island of Mindanao. In 1976, Laura came to Canada where she was employed for 28 years at Canada Life Assurance Company.
Upon Retirement, Laura spent her time hiking, gardening, reading and cooking.
She spent the last 7 years of her life at Providence Healthcare where she had many friends.
Laura will be deeply missed by her husband Allan Peter Selman and all her family members.
A visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, located at 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, Canada, on February 2, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on February 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A committal service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge St, Markham, ON, L3T 3M1, Canada, on February 3, 2026 at 2:00 pm
In lieu of flowers, donation to “Providence Healthcare”, “Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto” or “Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada” would be welcome by the family.
