

She attended Wm. Burgess P. S. where she enjoyed sports, especially running, volleyball and baseball. A passion that remained her entire life as a huge fan of the Argos. Lil attended Danforth Tech. receiving certificates in dress-making and millinery. She worked at Dad`s Cookies, then General Steelwares, where during the war she produced pails and buckets assisting in the war effort. Lil met her future husband, Alf at a dance and they were married at St. Barnabas Anglican Church on December 18, 1943. Alf joined the RCAF shortly after.
They settled in East York raising three children. Along with being employed at Loblaws, then the L.C.B.O. , Lil was a member of the ACW (Anglican Church Women) at St. Luke`s and took part in many fund -raising events. They both loved to travel and spent several winters as snowbirds in Florida. Numerous cruises followed, along with trips to Europe, Greece and Alaska.
Alf predeceased Lil in 2015 after 71 years of marriage. Mom will be forever missed by her three children, Deborah (Rick, deceased), Christopher (Penny) and Victoria (Peter). Her five grandchildren, Scott (Christine), Stacie, Brian (Stephanie), Andrea and Mark. Plus her four great-grandchildren, Emma, Luke, Blaire and Drew.
A memorial service will held at St. Lukes Anglican Church (904 Coxwell Ave) at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023. Reception following.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Lukes Anglican Church would be appreciated.
