I have no idea where I would be today without Professor Rodgers' mentorship when I was younger and needed the confidence and skills to navigate my life. She was wise, kind, a great storyteller, and a direct communicator when I needed to hear the truth! I look back fondly at my time with her. Prof was amazing and will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the family. I, too, met Professor Rodgers many years ago at her office. I was new to Canada and was seeking to improve my communication skills. I learnt so much from her. She was firm but kind. She was such a lovely person. I will miss her tremendously.

I only met your Mum a few times and of course she was lovely and gracious each time. I know is she raised a beautiful woman that I now reap the benefit of calling a special friend. I've also loved watching your Mum instil the love of art in Jesse. He will carry that gift with him for life.

Our hearts go out to you for the loss of your lovely Mum and Granny.  Lorna was a sweet, kind and gentle woman who loved life and always had a smile for everyone, fur babies especially.  She will be missed by the many people who were lucky to know her. May you find comfort in your  wonderful memories together.  Gone from sight but in your hearts forever.

We first met Lorna many years ago, in her office. We were new in Canada and she was our Professor Rodgers, who thought us advanced English, business communication, and mentored us in many other ways to adjust and prosper in the new country. 
She was firm, but always kind to her students. I remember her beautiful lively eyes and her deep voice, strong and calming, while teaching us through storytelling. 
Many years passed by and we became good friends. Dear Lorna, thank you for all your wisdom, your beautiful paintings, for many laughs and good memories that we shared, and for the support we gave each other in times of need.

My mom never called me by my name. She always called me honey, darling, angel, sweetheart, dear, my love. …  The only time she called me by my name is if I did something wrong. Occasionally, we’d see that Irish temper but it was always followed by an onslaught of love and hugs and kisses … She was a woman of stunning beauty and compassionate and caring. … Absolutely anywhere we went for anything in any one of the fabulous cars she drove was an adventure. If it rained hard, she would drive me door to door in her fabulous Aqua coloured ‘62 Thunderbird to deliver my papers. Now that’s class. … She was the ultimate hockey / baseball mom, Thunderbirding me and team mates to and from games with pit stops for treats … God gave she and I the ability to communicate through telepathy. I don’t intend to lose that while she’s in heaven. … Many times mom was the only one on earth who could help me. And she did. Always.  … Every day I have ever lived and every day I have yet to live will always be Mother’s Day. … An angel on earth is now an angel in heaven. Before my mom passed , I told her to thank all our family and friends in heaven for giving me the greatest days of my life.  … You will hold me in your arms in heaven one day, mom. Such joy that will be. … Happy Mother’s Day every day, Mom. I love you forever and ever. Your loving son, Grant xxx ooo. 

My cousin Lorna was 7 years older than I...not so far apart as the years passed but when I was a small child Lorna would often take me to the seafront in our beloved Town of Bangor in Ireland. My favorite part of that walk was convincing Lorna to treat me to a meringue at the local bakery. Lorna was sure I shouldn't be having that before dinner but I told her I would throw myself off the wall at the seafront into the sea. Lorna always give in to that even knowing I would never do such a thing. There are so many beautiful memories but this one  is from the beginning of my adoration for Lorna. She was so sweet.
