It is with great sadness and in a spirit of hopefulness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and friend, the late Lucy Mary (nee: Natale) Buhagar on April 10, 2020. It is with significance for us that Lucy was welcomed to her eternal home, on Good Friday. Lucy had great confidence in the words of the Lord, "In my fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. (John 14:2). Born during a leap year, in Toronto on Saturday, January 19, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Mary (nee: Ambrose) Natale. Including her parents she was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Joseph Peter, sons Gary and Mark and her siblings Nick, Gus, Rose, Teresa, Availia, Henry, Eugene and Joey. Leaving with fond and precious memories to be cherished for a lifetime to come are sons Peter and Desmond, granddaughters Lauren and Christine, with their mother Ruth, and great-granddaughter Lamaeya. Lucy is also survived by her youngest and only surviving sibling Dolores (“Dolly”) Ivancic, along with a large circle of family and all those who considered her as a friend. In keeping with Provincial, Ecclesial encouragement, and Lucy's personal wish, cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date, which will be announced publicly when these details are made known. In lieu of flowers donations in Lucy’s memory are being accepted by Canadian Jesuits International by visiting www.canadianjesuitsinternational.ca/donate/, or to a charity of donor’s choice are greatly appreciated. Lucy your gift of love to your family, and spiritual gifts of humility and a deep capacity for friendship will be remembered for a lifetime to come. For your soul and the souls of all the faithful departed we pray to the mercy of God, that you will rest in peace. As Lucy’s family, we also want to take this time to extend our deep gratitude to the staff of Amica City Centre, Mississauga as well as the staff of Ina Grafton Gage Home, for your love and attention while she was in your care.
