Maria Pagliuca

Maria was born on March 14, 1935, to Domenico and Giovannina Freda in Montemiletto, Italy. Her journey took her from Italy to England and Switzerland and eventually to Toronto, Canada where she built a loving home with her husband and children. She carried her roots, her traditions, and her strength with her everywhere she went.

She leaves behind her daughters, Giovanna (Malcolm) and Monia (John), who will miss her more than words can say. She is reunited with her beloved son, Vincenzo, whom she has long held close in her heart. Maria was a proud and devoted Nonna to Gianpiero (Jacqueline), Serena (Jordan), and Alexander (Mathew), and a loving Bisnonna to Gianluca, Sophia, Luciano, and Alessia, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Maria will also be dearly missed by her surviving siblings—Giovanni, Alessandro, and Diamante—and reunited in Heaven with Angelo, Giuseppina, Antonietta, and Angela.

Maria touched the lives of so many with her kindness and warmth. Family meant everything to her, and she held each person close to her heart. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of home to everyone who knew her. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her extended family and friends.
