With heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Mary Jo on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Survived by her sister, Marie Roddick and predeceased by siblings Yvonne Roach, Loretta Jones (Les), Dorothy Sim (Jim), John Patrick (Helen), James Emmett, Leona Woodcock (Gerald) and Bernice McDonald (Ron). She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Born May 22, 1924 in Lindsay, Ontario, Jo was a long-time resident of Toronto, most recently at The Grenadier in the High Park neighbourhood. Prior to retirement she worked in the health care service as a PSW. Visitation at Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. West, Toronto (416-654-7744) on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 12-4 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 354 St. Clair Ave. West, Toronto on Friday, January 20 at 10 a.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to a humane society of your choice would be appreciated.
