Michael Hugo Fritz Lappe

It’s with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father Michael Lappe at the age of 76 years old at Centenary Hospital in the Palliative Care unit on the 9th floor.

Michael Lappe went to the lord {God}, on Thursday January 9th 2025 at Centenary Hospital, on the 9th floor Palliative Care unit, with wife Jean Clair Lee Jackson Lappe and daughter Stacey-Ann Jackson by his side and with the help from son Damion Jackson at home.

Beloved son Michael Hugo Fritz Lappe :

Born on January 3rd 1949 to parents: Roselinda “Rose” Buchner (Oma) (predeceased) and Warner Lappe (Opa) (predeceased) in Germany Due Bielefeld.

Michael moved to Canada at the age of 3 with his parents.

Michael Lappe will be remembered for his charming, charismatic personality. He was extremely hard working not only in his profession at Canada Post, but also in his hobbies and social life. He part took in many sports and loved to play hockey at the Beaches with cherished friends. He frequently dined at Len Duckworth Fish and Chips Restaurant on the Danforth and enjoy Lick’s Homeburger’s near Woodbine Beach. He was excellent at photography and had an eye to catch quality images. He enjoyed roller skating, golf, baseball, football, skiing and tennis and he taught us about these sports. He loved to take us to the beach in the summer time in his fire bird vehicle for swimming and roller blading. He enjoyed taking us on long drives to visit family in Pefferlaw, which we enjoyed. He always made us feel included and heard no matter the circumstances. He would bring us to Jackson’s Point to swim and have ice cream and we would play catch together with the football and baseball. He was a kind, caring and fun person. Who was strong willed and straight forward. We will always remember his love of music and his generosity and kindness.

His beloved 3 lovely grandchildren Michael adored and often spoke about how cute and smart his grandchildren are and he enjoyed spending time getting to know them.

Michael Hugo Fritz Lappe “Mike” will be missed by all family members and dear friends.
