Proud Nonno to Nicola, Deanna (Evan), Adrianna (Steven), Robert (Sarah), Mark (Amber), Scott, Paul (Aron), Karl, David, Laura, and Angelo (Marina).
Nicola is reunited in heaven with his beloved siblings Rosetta, Ida, Aldo, Antonio survived by Gilda, Anna and AngelaMaria.
He will be held dear in the hearts of his brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and relatives and many friends.
With no formal education, Nicola was known for his razor-sharp calculations and was gifted with an encyclopedic memory. He worked hard as a cement finisher when arriving in Toronto to establish a good life for himself and his family for over 90 years. Nicola was an avid gardener with the help of his loving wife, a handy-man and the loudest one in any room he was in. You could always find him on his porch playing a game of Solitaire with his Italian cards.
A formidable presence, Nicola’s strong work ethic and no-nonsense approach to life was, and will remain forever, an inspiration, much cherished by his family and close friends.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Jerrett Funeral Home- St. Clair Chapel (1141 St. Clair Ave., W. east of Dufferin St.) from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am from St. Clair Church (1118 St Clair Ave W, Toronto). Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St Clair Ave W, Toronto)
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Nicola’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
