Born on February 6, 1949, in Lanciano, Abruzzi, Italy, Nina carried with her the strength, traditions, and deep faith of her Italian roots throughout her life. A devout Catholic, she found great comfort and purpose in her faith.
Nina was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Cascioni (passed December 2012), with whom she shared a life of devotion, love, and faith. She is now joyfully reunited with him in eternal peace.
Loving sister to the late Joseph (2022) and cherished Nicoletta (Dante). A devoted Zia, Nina held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews: Jason, John (Anna-Maria), and Anella (Lui), who will remember her for her kindness, warmth, and the unwavering love she gave so freely.
Nina had a natural gift for making people feel welcome. Her neighbourly spirit and generosity made her home a gathering place where conversation and compassion were always in abundance. She was deeply community-oriented, often the first to offer a helping hand or a comforting word.
Above all, family was the center of Nina’s life. Whether through her lovingly prepared meals, her steady presence, or her thoughtful prayers, she nurtured and supported those around her with quiet strength and grace.
She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
