Norman Allen Wills

Norman Wills is now reunited with the love of his life, our mother Anne Carswell Wills (1929-2019) with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Norman leaves behind to mourn his loving children Sheila (Ken), Sandra (Andrew) and Tom (Katerina) who will forever miss his gentle presence and steadying influence in their lives. Norman was also predeceased by his little son David in 1964.

Proud and devoted grandfather to Andrew Osborne (Sarah) and Angelika, Charlotte, Adam and Duncan Wills and great grandfather to Cole Golvin Osborne.

Norman will also be much missed by his brother in law Allan Carswell and members of the extended Carswell family, among others.

A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Norman was called to the bar in 1956. He dedicated fifty years to the private practice of law specializing in real estate, wills and estates where he was a tireless and compassionate advocate for his clients.

In their retirement, our parents Anne and Norman Wills enjoyed international travel and Scottish Country Dancing, being very involved with the St. Andrew’s Society of Toronto for some years. Norman never missed a performance of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir during the years that his wife Anne was a member.

Above all, Norman will be remembered for his gentle kindness, his strong moral compass, his dedication to his family and his dry wit. He passed on his love of literature and music to his children and grandchildren.

Our profound thanks goes out to the care teams at both the Michael Garron Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital for looking after our father in his last days. If desired, donations may be made to one of the above hospitals, to Doctors Without Borders, or to a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, CA, on April 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
