It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Oreste Sebastiano. He was born on May 14, 1931 in Ripa Teatina, Chieti, Italy and passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 90 years. Oreste passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Oreste has been reunited with his beloved wife Lucia who passed away in 1978. He is the loving father of Rocco Mario Sebastiano (Marilena) and Adriana Sebastiano-Gri (David Gri) and is the cherished Nonno of Thomas (Cassandra), Katia (Declan Sweeney), Sierra, Sebastian and Adrian. He is the loving brother of Regina (Giuseppe Faraone) and brother in law of Aldo Visco (late Maria). Oreste will be dearly loved and missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Oreste was a humble and gentle man of faith who was an integral part of the St. Matthew’s Church Parish for over 50 years. He was a Minister of the Eucharist, member of the choir and organized many festas in the church hall.
Oreste was an executive member of the Val Del Foro Social Club. It brought him great joy to celebrate his Abruzzese heritage with his dear friends.
In his later years, he became a member of the Piccininni Community Centre where he spent long hours playing scopa, briscola and tressette with his friends.
Oreste was a devoted gardener who eagerly shared his plentiful harvest with family and friends alike.
