

Passed into eternal life on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 12:20 p.m. He died In St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, as a result of cancer.
Father Corriveau is survived by his sister Sr. Elise Corriveau, CND, his brother Gerard Corriveau, sister-in-law Myrna, nephews and nieces Michael, Charles, Mary, Valerie, Peter, Paula, and Jennifer.
Father Corriveau was born in St. Joseph’s Ontario, in 1936. He took vows as a member of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists) on Sep.15, 1956. He was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood on June 17, 1962.
He received a Doctorate in Moral Theology from the Alphonsianum in Rome. At various times in his life he taught moral theology and biblical studies, took part in an experimental program to bring the Gospel to those alienated from religion and was given charge of the Redemptorist novices and theology students. He served as parish priest at St. Alphonsus, Peterborough, ON; St. Teresa’s in St. John’s, Newfoundland; Holy St. Patrick’s parish in Toronto. He served as provincial superior of the Redemptorists of the Toronto province, and then of the merged Edmonton-Toronto province.
Visitation will be held at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel, 467 Sherbourne St., Toronto, ON, (south of Wellesley) Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. There will be a Bible Vigil Wake Service at 7:30 p.m.
Friends are invited to St. Patrick’s Church, 131 McCaul St., Toronto, ON, on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. There will be a Mass of the Resurrection celebrated at 10 o’clock. A reception follows immediately in the parish hall. Interment at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
