Bob is predeceased by his Beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Merle Letcher. He was a loving and cherished father (Pops) to Jenny (Mark), Gail (Randy), and Tom (Lesley), and a proud and devoted Poppa to Justin (Justice), Kailyn, Brayden, Lucas, and Robert, and a great Poppa to Aiden and Malcolm. Bob will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends, and all who knew him as a resilient, wise, smart and patient man.
Bob's pride and joy was his family, especially his wonderful grandkids and great-grandkids. He love all the family dinners and gatherings, as being with his family was his "happy place".
Bob was a man of many talents, with award-winning photography being one of his greatest passions. His other hobbies included fishing, camping, painting, baking, pottery, woodworking, canoe building, and "tinkering in his shop", just to name a few. He even built his first home in Pickering, Ontario, with his wife Merle.
He will be forever remembered by his great stories, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. These causes were meaningful to Bob, and your support in his memory is sincerely appreciated.
