He had a thriving career as a computer programmer, contributing his skills to companies in Boston, MA, and Stamford, CT, before spending years in the Philippines, alternating between Manila and his hometown province of Pangasinan. In 2015, he returned to Toronto to be closer to family.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his siblings Bing, Cherry, Cip, Vicky, Peter, and Tessa, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Bob's simplicity, thoughtfulness, and kindness defined him. Despite leading a modest lifestyle, he possessed a curious mind that passionately explored history. Writing, biking, playing backgammon and chess, attending family gatherings, playing the harmonica and uncovering new knowledge brought him joy. His quiet presence and easy laugh made him a pleasure to be around. Though he tread lightly upon this world, his absence will be deeply felt by the many who cherished and loved him."
