It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Ronald Ross Matheson. Born in the Scottish highlands in the town of Nairn on January 28, 1923, Dad lived an adventurous, authentic, and very full life. He joined the British Royal Navy at the young age of 16, fought in three wars and received 8 medals, including the Burma Star. Dad passed away on January 11, 2016 just days shy of his 93rd year, surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed and forever remembered by his cherished wife, Isabel. His children, Andrew, Sheena, Deborah and David. His grandchildren, Amber, Matthew, Stirling, Sorina, Ceilidh and David and his great-grandchildren, Amaia, Autumn, and Alistair.
Forever in our hearts
“My heart’s in the Highlands, my heart is not here, my heart’s in the Highlands a-chasing the deer” - Robert Burns 1789
