She passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Her life was truly a celebration; complete with 100 1/2 years of loving memories of family and friends. We were all blessed to have had her with us, for the many milestones she witnessed.
She leaves behind her children, Pam (John), Peter (Lynne), Ron (Sue) and John(Renata). Her 9 grandchildren, their spouses, as well as 8 beautiful great- grandchildren. As well, she leaves behind her remaining sister Pia.
This remarkable woman left her beloved Veroli on August 31, 1957 bound for Toronto, Canada, with her late husband Giuseppe, three of their four children and her late mother Teresa Mauti (nee Carinci), on a ship bound for Pier 21 in Halifax, Canada. Then a train to Toronto. They made an incredible life here in Toronto, where they raised their family. Rosa continued to thrive for many years after Giuseppe passed. Standing witness as her Grandchildren went on to have kids of their own. Rosa leaves behind a lasting legacy that we are all grateful and proud of. She will be missed by her family, many great friends and neighbours.
